Hello, my name is Rosalia, and I am the director of Pequeñas Ilusiones Daycare. With 16 years of experience in childcare, I embarked on this journey initially as an opportunity that presented itself, but it quickly became a genuine passion of mine. What I find truly fulfilling about working with children is the opportunity to work alongside them, guiding each child towards their individual goals and helping them develop into healthy, well-rounded individuals. Witnessing the progress and achievements of my students brings me immense joy. Each day, I come to work with a sense of fulfillment, eager to assist my students in any way possible and ensure that everyone in our program is happy and progressing towards their goals.

Hola, mi nombre es Rosalía, y soy la directora de la guardería Pequeñas Ilusiones. Con 16 años de experiencia en cuidado infantil, comencé este viaje inicialmente como una oportunidad que se presentó, pero rápidamente se convirtió en una verdadera pasión para mí. Lo que realmente me llena de satisfacción de trabajar con niños es la oportunidad de trabajar junto a ellos, guiando a cada niño hacia sus objetivos individuales y ayudándolos a desarrollarse como personas sanas y equilibradas. Presenciar el progreso y los logros de mis estudiantes me llena de alegría. Cada día, vengo al trabajo con un sentido de satisfacción, ansiosa por ayudar a mis estudiantes en cualquier forma posible y asegurarme de que todos en nuestro programa estén felices y progresando hacia sus metas.

Philosophy

Our philosophy is that every child and their family are welcomed with all their abilities and will be treated equally. Children will play outdoors and develop gross motor skills with climbing, kicking a ball, running, jumping, etc. In the classroom they will develop their fine and intellectual motor skills when listening to stories, assembling puzzles, using blokes, coloring, etc. Each child has a space in which they feel relaxed and happy, making it possible for their stay to be pleasant and similar to home. Children with IEP will be welcomed, we will work with families to reach the child’s education goals together.

Nuestra filosofía es que cada niño y familia son bienvenidas con todas sus aptitudes y será tratado con igualdad. Jugara al aire libre y desarrollará su motricidad gruesa al trepar en los juegos, patear la pelota, correr, brincar, etc. y dentro del aula desarrolla su motricidad fina e intelectual el escuchar cuentos, armar rompecabezas, usar bloques, colorear, etc. Cada niño tiene espacio en el que se sienta relajado y feliz haciendo lo posible de que su estancia sea placentera y lo más similar a un hogar. Si un niño llegara a este programa con IEP sera bienvenido y se trabajara con las familias para juntos poder llegar a las metas en la educacion.

Location

We are close to Bridge Street and Five Points, nearby schools include Dolores Gonzalez Elementary School and Valle Vista Elementary School. Our neighborhood is quiet and close to the forest.

About our program

At Pequeñas Ilusiones Daycare, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. Through our play-based, child-directed curriculum, we instill fundamental concepts of mathematics, science, art, social studies, and early literacy. We firmly believe in using children’s interests and ideas as a foundation for learning, fostering a sense of curiosity and exploration. Our materials are carefully selected to be open-ended, encouraging children to investigate and draw their own conclusions. To ensure that families have a comprehensive understanding of our approach, we offer tours exclusively on Fridays, allowing parents to witness firsthand how our program benefits all students. Additionally, we provide two trial days for each child to assess their comfort and adaptability within our program, ensuring a tailored experience that supports both the needs of the family and the child’s development.

En Pequeñas Ilusiones Daycare, estamos dedicados a proporcionar un ambiente de crianza y educativo para los niños. A través de nuestro plan de estudios basado en el juego y dirigido por los niños, inculcamos conceptos fundamentales de matemáticas, ciencias, arte, estudios sociales y alfabetización temprana. Creemos firmemente en utilizar los intereses e ideas de los niños como base para el aprendizaje, fomentando un sentido de curiosidad y exploración. Nuestros materiales son cuidadosamente seleccionados para ser abiertos, alentando a los niños a investigar y sacar sus propias conclusiones. Para garantizar que las familias comprendan completamente nuestro enfoque, ofrecemos recorridos exclusivamente los viernes, permitiendo a los padres presenciar de primera mano cómo nuestro programa beneficia a todos los estudiantes.
