Philosophy At LTCC, we believe that students are the foundation of our future. Our goal is to support the optimal development of every student in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment. We value high-quality early education, recognizing that a student’s earliest experiences lay the groundwork for healthy growth and lifelong learning. Young students learn with their whole bodies—through seeing, listening, touching, exploring, and interacting with the world around them. Their caregivers, environment, and daily experiences shape their development through play and meaningful activities. At LTCC, we focus not only on academic learning but also on fostering positive early experiences that build social-emotional skills and help students form strong, healthy relationships with their surroundings. We recognize that physical development—both gross and fine motor skills—grows rapidly as students move and explore. Daily routines provide consistency that supports learning, and language development is strengthened through conversation, discussion, and active communication. Families and diverse cultures play a powerful role in shaping our students and our community. LTCC encourages strong, reciprocal relationships with families to maintain a healthy, supportive environment. We value diversity and do not discriminate based on religion, skin color, gender, beliefs, or nationality. Our focus is on building a cooperative partnership among teachers, families, students, and the community.

About our program

At Learning Together Childcare Center (LTCC), we believe children thrive when learning, families, and community come together. Our program goes beyond before- and after-school care by creating meaningful experiences that support the whole child.

🌟 Whole-Child, Academic-Based Programming

We combine academic support with enrichment activities such as art, music, science projects, recreation, service learning, and social-emotional learning. This balanced approach helps children build confidence, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills while reinforcing what they learn during the school day.

🤝 Community Schools Approach

As part of a community schools strategy, LTCC works collaboratively with schools and community partners to support students and families. Our program provides a safe, structured environment that strengthens academic success and promotes positive relationships.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Engagement & Events

We value strong partnerships with families and offer family-focused events and celebrations throughout the year, including:

Family nights and open houses

Cultural and seasonal celebrations

End-of-program and summer celebrations These events create opportunities for families to connect, celebrate achievements, and engage in their child’s learning experience.

🎨 Enrichment & Specialized Activities

Children participate in hands-on projects and specialized activities that may include:

STEM and science exploration

Creative arts and music

Recreational play

Leadership and service-learning opportunities These experiences encourage collaboration, creativity, and social growth across all age groups.
