Hi!
I am Micole Freudenburg, owner of Cole’s House. I have been a state-licensed in-home child care provider for over 18 years. In September of 2021, I earned my CDA (Child Development Associate) certification. I am also certified in Adult/Child/Pediatric CPR/First Aid and trained to use an AED machine.
Currently, I am a member of the following national groups and organizations: NAEYC, NAFCC, and NACCF, as well as our local POP-N group; and an active participant in the following child care platforms: NECC, Wonderschool and Step Up to Quality. I also serve on the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC) Advisory Council under the Advocacy sub-committee.
I am a devoted wife and mother to our two wonderful children Kylie and Jaiden. In my free time, I enjoy painting signs and creating new and unusual decorative items for our home or as gifts for others.
Now a little bit about my family…
My husband Dave has worked at Cardinal Health for over 20 years as a Machinist. He enjoys thinking outside the box and has a wide range of unique problem-solving skills. Dave has certainly earned the title “Jack of all Trades” and can master most everything. He is our regular mechanic, handyman, and woodworker. Dave is also a great cook and in our circles is known as “Not so Famous Dave’s BBQ and Grill Master!”
Our daughter Kylie (20) graduated from Norfolk Senior High in May of 2021. Kylie currently attends Concordia College in Seward pursuing her degree in Pharmacy. She is a member of the Concordia Women’s Tennis team. She is enjoying her sophomore year of college and all of the wonderful experiences that go along with it.
Our son Jaiden (15) is a 9th grader at Norfolk Senior High. He enjoys archery and trap shooting. Jaiden also enjoyed playing on the freshman football team this school year as they held an undefeated record for the season. As a football lineman, Jaiden enjoys working out to increase his strength and agility for his sophomore football season. Like his father, Jaiden is a wonderful problem solver. Jaiden also likes being busy and helping others, especially the elderly. He is eager to help and enjoys working outdoors.
Last but not least our Mini Blue Merle Aussie, Mr. Sketch. He is 2 years old with pretty blue eyes and the best furry friend we could ever ask for. Sketch continues to amaze us with his human-like intelligence and keeps our hearts full with laughter daily.
In our family time, we all enjoy camping, boating, water sports, fishing, campfires, and deer hunting!

About our program
My program offers a very personable and loving environment with an open-door policy. I pride myself in having close relationships with my families. I have a routine schedule that allows for flexibility when needed for infants. My Program is divided into several learning centers geared toward children 6 weeks to 5 years. These centers focus on language and literacy, creative arts, social/emotional development, and gross and fine motor skills.
My program learning centers are as follows:
Cozy Corner - An abundance of soft and cozy pillows, puppets and stuffed animals make this decorative oversized box the perfect place to get away, be alone or rest your eyes for a couple minutes.
Book Nook - This area is stocked with a rotation of easily accessible books for all ages with a comfy mattress for sitting and cozy pillows to lean on.
Block Play Area - Large soft blocks and wooden unit blocks are the items in this area, accompanied by a rotation of appropriate complementary toys.
Dramatic Play - The mainstays in this center are our kitchen and dolls. A large variety of rotating items in this center allows toddlers and preschoolers to explore their imaginary needs for pretend play.
Math and Numbers - This area has a wide variety of stacking blocks, shape sorters, puzzles, and other toys that can be used for sorting and counting to fully engage that mind of a toddler.
Arts and Crafts - This is where we make our best creations and get a little messy while we experiment with sensory bins and process art.
Outdoor Play - The backyard has a large fenced area to keep the kids safe. This area is equipped with a swing set, large motor pushing toys, chalk, bubbles, and splash pad in the summer.
