My name is Denita Julius (owner & founder), I have been in Child Care for 20 years and I am located in Chadron, NE. I have three of my own children, two of them are grown and one still at home. I received my Associate of Applied Science in Human Services from WNCC in May of 2016 and my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with my focus on ECE in May of 2022. In August of 2018 I achieved my CDA (Child Development Associate) and continue to maintain it. Our program has partnered with Sixpence Sprouting Success helping us to continually improve on our quality and professionalism in our program. We are also currently rated a 5 in SUTQ (Step up to Quality), a star rating program in the state of Nebraska that is geared toward implementing the best practices in the field of child care. I am an active member of our local Child Care association PACCS, state association NFCCA, and national associations NAEYC and NAFCC. I am on the Advisory Council with NECC and I am part of the advisory council for child care licensing. We are state licensed, CPR/First Aide Certified, and a member of the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program.) I feel that there is always room for improvement, so I am continually looking toward furthering our education and experiences in life. My co-teachers in our program are also taking trainings and continually working towards becoming better every day also!

Testimonials
Denita has been Ronin’s child care provider since he was an infant. I am grateful that someone as kind and as focused on learning as she is has been part of his life for over three years now. Denita is focused on Ronin’s learning and development and ensures his growth through a variety of different strategies. I appreciate that she is always willing to talk about how he is doing and is proactive about communicating where he is at with meeting different milestones, from her perspective. It’s comforting to know that when Ronin is in her care he gets all the love, compassion, and care he needs in an environment focused on his individual learning and development.

My 3 kids attended Little Sprouts Daycare with Denita and LOVED it! Denita and Grandma Dorrie are amazing caregivers who take the time to really get to know your child and your family. They consistently engage in professional development to expand their knowledge base and provide support in ALL areas of child development. Highly recommend!

As a new first-time mother, finding daycare for my new baby was not something I was particularly excited about. I knew that daycare in Chadron was limited and it would be tricky to find someone who would not only have availability, but also who I would feel comfortable leaving my newborn baby with. After only two phone calls, I miraculously found Denita and to my shock, let me know she had a spot open. We met in person and clicked immediately, as she showed me around her home-daycare and we talked through all my questions and concerns.
Since day one, Denita was a complete blessing to me and my son. She became like a second mom to him and he looked forward to going to her house every day to see her and the other kids. She was amazing about texting or calling to keep me updated on anything a mom would want or need to know throughout the day/week and always planned fun activities to keep the kids engaged and always made great breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks each day for the kids.
Over the course of the 5 years my son went to her, Denita went above and beyond to take her home daycare to the next level by constantly adding new activities, fixtures, as well as completely renovating her back yard and living area to better accommodate the daycare kids. I can confidently say she was always looking for ways to improve her home and herself to be the best provider for her kiddos as possible.
My son’s last day at Denita’s was a sad one for sure, as my son started preschool and we also moved to a different town. I am now expecting baby #2 and know that there will never be another child care provider that will live up to my expectations like Denita did. We love her like a part of our family and miss her dearly!

Philosophy
I believe that quality early care and education is a partnership between parents and provider. At Little Sprouts, it is our mission to partner with parents, and to provide children with age and developmentally appropriate activities and materials in a safe, loving environment where they are free to explore and learn.
Little Sprouts is a play-based program. I believe that at this developmental stage, it is not teacher led activities that the children need to help them learn, but loving, responsive relationships with caregivers, based on respect for the child and his or her family. At Little Sprouts, your child will have the opportunity to explore and grow, create and discover, problem solve, build relationships with his or her peers, and become confident learners.
