Taylor Vincent, Director/Owner
Taylor graduated from Vidor High School in 2013 with a diploma. In 2009 she realized her dream of having her own in home childcare program after working at a daycare in the summer time for extra money. Her favorite thing about what she does is developing relationships with the children that she teaches and their families. She believes that small class size and the development of a strong community allow her and her team to really know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.
Philosophy
At my school, I strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers. My program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together.
I believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. I enjoy creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it
Location
So I am surrounded by lots of other apartments, I am close by walmart and many food places. A few miles up the road is the middle school, high school, and a few elem schools. Then we have a Spring Lake park and Davidson park.
About our program
At my in home daycare, I teach the concepts of math, art, music, spanish, and early literacy through our play-based, child-led curriculum. I use the interests and idea of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.
