Our Teachers

Janae “Ms.Liz” Walker (Owner/Director)

I have over 10+ years in the childcare field. I am the owner of this 4 Star Licensed Family Childcare Home. I also have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood and finishing up my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education as well. I have all the current training in Early Childhood Education and continue to learn more with my local Smart Start. My team and I all have our current CPR/First Aide certificates as well. We take pride in helping children to learn and play in our small setting where we can focus on the children’s development.

Cynthia “ Mama Wells” Wells (Lead Teacher)

Mama Wells is loved by all parents and children. She is known as every child’s Nana when they join our family. She has been in the childcare field for 15 years and poses her ECE certificate. She is well educated and does her continuing education in Early Childhood Education monthly. She is current on all trainings including her First Aide/CPR and SIDS training.

Philosophy

We believe in allowing children to learn through play. We encourage them to explore their environment and ask questions. Play is how children are able to learn without it being stressful on them.

About our program

Here are Walker Wells Learning Center we enjoy what we do. Our services are provided to parents in the community that are working and need reliable childcare. We pride ourselves with keeping our ratio low, so that we can cater to the children’s needs like they deserve. We like to introduce our children to different things of the world rather it be a language or food. We are always open for parents to come visit us and share anything special they like to with the children. Our program is focused on allowing children to learn through play. Explore their environment and learn what the world is about, this is how we come up with our lesson plans weekly. We base our lessons off the children’s interest and we extend their learning with fun activities. Come and explore our facility and see what we can offer your family.
