Our Teachers

My name is Mary Hellen Pickett. You may know me as Hellen although most folks call me Mema, just as the children do. I attended school in Rose Hill, NC and got my Associate Degree from James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville, NC. My last public job was working as a Teacher’s Aide in some of the area schools.

I opened my Family Child Care Home in 2008 and have enjoyed working with the little children every since. My desire is to work with the birth through five years old. My goal is to keep them happy all day long as they learn through play, new words and new songs.

Philosophy

We believe in incorporating the outside nature into children’s play, while also focusing on nurturing and developing young minds for success in school.

Location

We are in a wonderful location, approximately 2 miles outside of town. There is also a closed in fenced play area.
