Our Teachers

Hey, my name is Doanna Everett I am married with one daughter and step-daughter. I graduated from Alcorn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. After working in the criminal justice field I decided to attend William Carey University Teachers Alternative Route Program. I have been in education for twelve years and worked in multiple areas throughout my career. I currently work as a 3rd and 4th grade Reading Resource teacher and also a 7th-grade US History teacher. I believe that all children should be given a chance.

Philosophy

This program is to help students get a better understanding of reading. I would also be focusing on helping students find better strategies to get through short and long passages. My main focus is to help the 3rd-grade student get through and pass the Mississippi 3rd-grade Grate Assessment.

Location

The program is located in a very nice and peaceful neighborhood with many caring neighbors. There are many educators and law enforcement that live throughout the neighborhood.
