Our Teachers
Our Executive Director, Gloria Jones, has over 20 years’ experience in this program. All of our teachers are CPR certified and continue through yearly professional development through there required training hours.
Philosophy
Our philosophy is No hands are too small for praying. As Christians we believe in prayer. Jesus clearly taught His disciples that children were important to Him and that they could be taught spiritual truths. In the Gospel of Mark we read: “Some people were bringing little children to Him so He might touch them, but His disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, ‘Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these’… After taking them in His arms, He laid His hands on them and blessed them” (Mark 10:13-17). Jesus welcomed the parents and the children they were bringing to Him. By taking time for the children, Jesus showed the parents and the disciples that children are valuable and worthy of our time, relationships, and instruction.
Location
Our location is very safe and secure with a gated center. All of our playground areas are fenced in as well with plenty of play space. Everyone in the community know each other and look out for each other. We have several locations available Happy Start Learning Academy, Happy Start Learning Center # 2 (Starkville, MS), Happy Start Learning Center #3 (Columbus, MS).

Our mission is to provide educational opportunities for children in nursery, toddler, pre-k, kindergarten through eighth grades.We are dedicated to providing love; warm nurturing care; and helping develop the emotional, spiritual growth, physical, social, and intellectual abilities for your child in a healthy, safe, and secure environment. Our vision is to help your child reach his/her highest level of achievements in life. Without you and your child/children we have no future. It takes all of us working, loving, caring, and praying together to achieve every child’s promising future.
