Heather Brogdon, Director & Owner
Heather graduated from University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s in child and family studies. She has been a part of Gulfport Academy since 1998. It was her very first job. Over time, she became passionate about working with children and received her degree. Watching children learn and grow and being a part of their every day lives is such an enjoyment to her. She strives to provide the best quality care for children while their parents are at work. Education and socialization through interaction and play is an important aspect at Gulfport Academy. She understands the trust that parents have in their providers and strives to maintain this daily.
Philosophy
At Gulfport Academy, we believe curriculum is important in early learning for the children. We use the learning box which provides us with all of the necessary tools to teach the children according to their developmental needs and levels. We also are passionate about learning through play, socialization, and interaction.
Location
We have two locations. One is located off of Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. It is close to the elementary schools in the area. Our 2nd location is conveniently located off of Air Port Road. It is close to I-10 and easy to get to from Hwy 49.
