Our Staff are CPR/First Aid Pediatric Certified: Early Childhood Educators are trained in CPR and First Aid tailored explicitly to pediatric care. This certification ensures they can respond effectively to medical emergencies and accidents involving young children.
Minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) or AAS (Associate of Applied Science) in Early Childhood Education: Our Early Childhood Educators typically hold a minimum of a CDA or an AAS degree in Early Childhood Education. These credentials equip them with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for effective child care and education.
Continuing Education: Early Childhood Educators are committed to continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest research, teaching techniques, and best practices in the field. They engage in a minimum of 18 continuing education training hours per year, covering a wide range of topics related to child development, teaching methodologies, and relevant regulations.
Key Skills and Traits: Patience: Our staff must have abundant patience to understand and address each child’s unique needs and challenges. Caitlin graduated from Maryville University of St. Louis with a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Services–with additional tracks in Early Childhood Education, Youth Development, and Family Life Education. Caitlin is also a certified Nurturing Parent Facilitator for low to high-risk families servicing the community.
