Our Teachers

Hi, I’m Leslie, the proud owner and caregiver at Leslie’s Learning Coop! With over a decade of experience working with children since 2011, I have dedicated my life to creating nurturing and engaging learning environments.

I am detail-oriented and believe that every small touch makes a big difference. Whether it’s designing fun, hands-on activities or creating a welcoming space where children feel at home, I go above and beyond to make learning a joyful experience.

I hold an associate’s degree and am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies, which deepens my understanding of child development and innovative teaching methods. Combining my education with real-world experience, I focus on fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child.

At Leslie’s Learning Coop, I’m passionate about turning everyday moments into opportunities for growth and discovery. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for learning with your little ones and helping them thrive!

Philosophy

At Leslie’s Learning Coop, I believe that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful connections. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the idea that every child is naturally curious and capable, and my role as an educator is to nurture that curiosity and guide them on their unique journey of growth.

I emphasize a play based approach because play is a child’s most powerful tool for learning. It fosters creativity, critical thinking, and social skills while making learning enjoyable and memorable. Through hands on activities, imaginative play, and interactive experiences, I aim to create an environment where children feel inspired to explore, experiment, and discover at their own pace.

Being detail oriented, I take pride in designing activities and spaces that go beyond the basics, making every moment purposeful and engaging. I believe in the importance of tailoring experiences to each child’s interests and developmental needs, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.

My educational background, with an associate’s degree and ongoing studies in educational studies, combined with over a decade of experience working with children, informs my approach to teaching. I stay committed to continuous learning and improvement, applying research based practices to create a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Family involvement is an essential component of my approach to teaching. I believe that strong partnerships with families create a more holistic learning experience for children. I encourage open communication, regular updates, and collaboration with parents to ensure that we’re all working together to support each child’s development and well being.

Above all, my goal is to help children develop a lifelong love for learning, confidence in their abilities, and a strong foundation for future success. At Leslie’s Learning Coop, learning isn’t just about reaching milestones, it’s about celebrating each child’s individuality, fostering a sense of wonder in their everyday world, and preparing them for a smooth transition into school and beyond.

Location

I live on a quiet street with easy access to transit. Were right around the corner from other childcare facilities and the ambassador.
