Our Teachers

The academy was established to provide the community with a trauma and holistic focused-based environment for children and their families to grow through love and compassion. Educational lessons at GSA are provided by ‘Teacher of the Year ‘recipient, Jessica Strong, Grannemann Elementary. Ms. Strong is equipped with a B.A. Elementary Education, B.A. Spanish, M. Ed. Early Childhood Education – Certified Teacher for Elementary, K-12 Spanish, and Middle School Math.

The academy has evolved to now also offer socio-emotional and independent skills on each student’s level to include our neurodivergent students.

Philosophy

We are dedicated to promoting healthy growth to each and every child enrolled at Growing Seeds Academy. Our goal is to be an extension of the child’s family by providing a developmental plan that encourages positive growth and addresses the needs of the whole child. This goal will be reached through lessons, activities and projects that address the spiritual, physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of each child.

Location

The academy is centrally located near several libraries, parks, neighborhood schools, the local YMCA and emergency medical centers. We are also on the main public transportation Metro line.
