Andrea Arnold, Ed.D ABD- Director
Hello! My name is Andrea Arnold. I have spent the majority of my professional career as a teacher and Athletic Director around the area. While teaching I have earned my masters, specialist, and doctorate in educational leadership.
I felt the call to leave education in order to work God’s plan for this daycare in the summer of 2021. I haven’t looked back. He is so good! My husband and I have three amazing children: Madelyn, Gabriel, and Elias. They are some outstanding kiddos. I have been married to the love of my life since the summer of 2005. Scott is a physical therapist at the Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
When looking at what I wanted the daycare to look like I wanted it to stand out as a Christian atmosphere that brought kids closer to God. I wanted to be able to shine the light on this community through fun, interactive, positive relationships with these kids. I want these kids to love where they spend their days. I want them to be able to express themselves, learn and grow in a safe environment.
Lee Ann- Assistant Director
I’m Lee Ann and I’m 27 years young and happily married. I graduated with my Associates degree from Mineral Area College! I’m so excited to watch our Lighthouse kids grow in every aspect possible!
Philosophy
Each and every day that your child is at Lighthouse Littles they will be loved, cared for, and taught new and important skills. We take an active approach to learning. Children will learn through hands on projects, play, and activities. When I imagine a typical day I see kids running around, exploring, being comfortable in expressing themselves. I wrote my dissertation over exercise and it’s ability to help the brain learn new information. Activity is critical for optimal brain growth and I want to instill physical activity into each child as they grow at Lighthouse. Outdoor play and learning games will be key as we prepare your child for lifelong learning outside of daycare. Our preschool teacher, Ms. GoGo (Christine Golden) has spent nearly 30 years in education and does an absolutely amazing job preparing these kids for the skills that she knows will help them soar once they start their elementary education.
Location
Marble Hill, MO in the old library. We’ve added an entrance on the side (look for the green and black ramp). Situated right in the perfect location in town, with security features, like key card entrance and 24 hour surveillance.

Admissions
-Enrollment paperwork can be found below or at https://dese.mo.gov/childhood/child-care/forms Hardcopies can also be picked up at Lighthouse Littles during normal business hours.
-Admission to the Lighthouse Littles is on a “first-come, first-served” basis for each age group. Completed applications are dated upon receipt. This date determines the order for contacting parents for the future enrollment of their child. Lighthouse Littles maintains a waiting list that is updated periodically. Failure to respond to an update notice will result in the withdrawal of the child’s name from the waiting list. It is the family’s responsibility to ensure that Lighthouse Littles has current contact information and to respond to communications regarding openings.
-Upon acceptance into the program, your child must have a signed authorization form from a physician within 30 days of their start date. All immunizations and screening required by the Missouri Department of Health must be completed before your child may attend the school. If these forms are not completed, your child will not be admitted into the program.
-Upon availability of space, you will be contacted for a time during which you will meet with the director and learn more about the center. This time will allow us to get to know each other, and we will learn how we can best meet your needs. We require that you and your child visit the classroom for a short time before the child’s scheduled start date. The visit allows the child to become more comfortable and begin building trust between the child, parent, and caregiver. The visit helps ease anxiety and helps them feel comfortable with the other children and teachers.
