Our Teachers

Vonica Monroe, Director Graduated from Ashford University (now known as University of Arizona Global Campus with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education Administration (BAECE).

With over 30 years of experience in childcare, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for early childhood education. I have served as a director, lead teacher, and assistant teacher, gaining insights into various aspects of childcare management and curriculum development. My expertise spans from working with infants to 5-year-olds in diverse settings, including a therapeutic childcare environment, where I focused on creating nurturing spaces for emotional, social, and academic growth.

My versatility shines as I’ve navigated through traditional daycare centers to specialized programs for infants through school-aged children. This adaptability allows me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and developmental stages of each child.

With a family of my own, I have gained a great love and passion for teaching and making a safe place for children to call home. I am excited about the opportunity to continue my journey, making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and contributing to the advancement of early childhood education.

Philosophy

At Rose Garden Development Center, we embrace a play-based philosophy. We believe that play is the cornerstone of early childhood education, providing a dynamic and engaging platform for children to explore, discover, and create meaningful connections with their world.

Our play-based curriculum is grounded in the understanding that children learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. Children build a strong foundation for future academic success and lifelong learning through play.
