Our Teachers

My name is Marceline Suttles, and I have had the privilege of working in the Early Childhood and education for over 20 years. As the Director of Heritage Preschool, I find myself deeply immersed in the world of early childhood education, and it’s a role I cherish. My journey into this profession was greatly influenced by my mother, who was a preschool teacher herself. Watching her passion and dedication, I slowly began to find my own joy in nurturing and educating young minds. What truly brings me fulfillment in this line of work is witnessing the pure excitement and radiant glow in the eyes of children when they discover and learn something new. It’s a reminder that every day in childcare is an opportunity to foster curiosity and growth, and I’m grateful to be a part of their journey.

We have a creative staff who work together as a team approach to teaching. The family atmosphere they create is a unique experience as they combine siblings to participate together in some of the weekly activities.

Every teacher is either certified in Early Childhood, Child Development, or is currently working towards certification. We are all CPR and First Aid certified.

Philosophy

At Heritage Preschool, our childcare philosophy centers around creating a nurturing and enriching environment for young learners. We firmly believe in the power of play-based education, as it fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in our students. Our approach goes beyond academics; we also emphasize faith-based learning, incorporating values and moral lessons into our daily activities. It is our mission to not only prepare our students for the next step in academics, but also to instill in them a strong sense of character, compassion, and a deep connection to their faith. We are dedicated to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically prepared but also spiritually and emotionally grounded, ready to embark on their educational journey with a strong foundation in both knowledge and values.

Location

Nestled in a warm and inviting setting, Heritage Preschool finds its home in a convenient commercial building adjacent to a charming church. Our location embodies a sense of community and tranquility, offering five well-appointed classrooms thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of our students. As we prioritize both education and outdoor fun, we take pride in our secure, fenced-in playground where children can explore, engage, and create lasting memories in a safe and nurturing environment. At Heritage Preschool, our location plays a pivotal role in fostering a loving and educational atmosphere for our young learners.

About our program

Heritage Christian Preschool has been serving the Harrisonville Community and the surrounding area for over 20 years. We provide a quality faith-based education that nurtures preschool children’s spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth, ensuring they are well-prepared for a lifetime of learning. We are dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where each child can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. However, our commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and family within our close-knit community sets us apart. Throughout the year, we cherish special moments like Thanksgiving, the joyous Cookies and Cocoa with Santa event, and the festive Fall Festival, all of which create lasting memories for our students and families. Additionally, we take immense pride in celebrating the accomplishments of our young learners as they graduate from our program. At Heritage Preschool, parents can rest assured that their children are not just receiving quality education but are also being nurtured in an environment that makes them feel right at home.
