Our Teachers

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in childcare, starting from my time working with my grandmother’s daycare, I’ve gained a deep understanding of kids’ needs. Now, as a mom myself, I bring that same level of care, flexibility, and nurturing to my own daycare. At my place, children will feel right at home in a safe, clean and kid-friendly environment. Whether they need playtime, structure, or a little extra attention, I ensure every child feels loved, understood and comfortable.

Philosophy

At my daycare, I foster social skills through activities like partner art projects, where children collaborate on shared creations, and story circles, where they build a group story by adding ideas one by one. To encourage independence, I rotate daily helper roles, giving children responsibilities like watering plants or assisting with snack time. Creating a safe, comfortable environment is a priority, with sensory corners and calm spaces where children can unwind and practice self-regulation.

Location

Our location is located in a prime area that offers both safety and convenience for families. Situated near a local police subdivision, parents can feel confident knowing their children are in a secure environment. We’re also just a short walk from beautiful parks, providing ample opportunities for outdoor play and nature exploration. Additionally, our proximity to a nearby elementary school makes drop-offs and pick-up seamless for families with older children. With these benefits, our location creates the perfect setting for children to grow, explore, and thrive.

About our program

At Fleater’s school in Columbia, children receive personalized care in a warm setting that focuses on their social and emotional growth. Our approach includes outdoor activities that encourage exploration. With mixed-age groups, children learn and play together in a supportive environment.
