Our Teachers

Ms. Cobb is an exceptional home based childcare provider, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her program. As a proud mother of five successful college graduates, she understands the importance of a strong educational foundation. With over 35 years of experience in the early childhood space, Ms. Cobb has held various roles such as a lead teacher, assistant center director, center director, and currently serves as the director of her home based childcare program. Her qualifications extend beyond her extensive experience, as she is also CPR and First Aid certified in both adult and infant CPR. Holding a Master’s in Psychology, Ms. Cobb remains committed to staying up to date on the latest early childhood education practices through continuous coursework. Additionally, she is a Pastor and is currently pursuing her PhD. Ms. Cobb firmly believes in nurturing the whole child and creating a strong foundation for their growth. She incorporates spirituality into her program in a way that is inclusive and welcoming to all. Her goal is to provide the best care possible for all children and foster a sense of family within her program. Parents are actively involved in her events and important happenings, and Ms. Cobb is equally embraced by her families, who often invite her to their own events as well.

Philosophy

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and it is a holistic approach to learning that encourages children to explore and engage with these subjects from a young age. In our program, you’ll find an environment that fosters hands-on learning and problem-solving. Ms. Cobb strongly believes that children learn best through tactile experiences and having objects in their hands. Instead of single-use toys, we provide open-ended materials that can be used in a variety of activities and experiments, allowing children to experiment, create, and explore their own ideas. For example, they’ll do various activities with water such as freezing and heating up and make predictions and observations about what happens in each situation and the differences. Our little learners will frequently ask questions, make observations, and have the opportunity to try things on their own, building their critical thinking and problem-solving skills while having fun.

About our program

Our home-based childcare program is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. Through a combination of group and individual activities, we strive to meet each child’s unique needs. Our main focus is on preparing children for kindergarten by building their foundational skills. We have designed play and learning centers where children can engage in hands-on activities to enhance their fine motor skills, analytical thinking, creative thinking, and more. Our program places a strong emphasis on encouraging skills and growth, with the ultimate goal of building children’s self-esteem. To foster a sense of community and fun, we host an annual back-to-school party for families before the start of the school year. This event not only brings families together but also helps in building a tight-knit community that supports and uplifts each child. As a result, many families choose to re-enroll their children in our program and share their positive experiences with friends and family.
