Our Teachers
For over 30 years, our founder, Nina Lilley has been interested in researching and understanding human behavior. She is the girl who has repeatedly taken every personality profile in an effort to understand herself and grow. This curiosity increased as she homeschooled her own three children and realized how unique each of them were in their style of learning and responses to her as a teacher. Through struggles to find her rhythm as an educator, she plunged back into her research. Through knowledge and understanding of brain states, individual rights of individuals and the unique process each individual undergoes to attain and retain information, Nina believes that this next generation can overcome adversity and achieve a healthy balanced life.
Philosophy
At The Lilley Pad Learning Center, we know that children’s earliest experiences have a tremendous impact on their development. We respect parents as the primary and most important provider of care and nurturing. We believe parents and teachers are partners in children’s care and education. Our school is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children. We provide experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative development. The members of our staff serve as positive role models and provide learning opportunities that are supportive, nurturing, warm, and responsive to each child’s individual needs. We are dedicated to learning alongside your child.
Location
The Lilley Pad Learning Center is located in Union, MI across the street from the Cass County Conservation Club. Our park like facilities will give your child space to learn and grow in and outdoors.
