Hi, I’m Ms. EJae, a home-based childcare provider. I have been running my program since 2007, and let me tell you, I absolutely love working with children! I believe in the importance of staying current with early childhood best practices, which is why I constantly participate in continued education. I am proud to be CPR and First Aid certified, as well as trained in safe sleep practices. Additionally, I have taken specialized training to support children with special needs because I believe in creating an inclusive environment for all. Being a childcare provider allows me to be a bridge between what children already know and what they have yet to learn. It brings me immense joy to witness their growth and see them surpass their goals. To me, this is the most rewarding job, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to make a positive impact on these young lives.
Philosophy
The home-based childcare program offered by Ms. EJae provides a unique and engaging play-based learning experience for children. In this program, children are encouraged to take the lead in their learning journey, utilizing the various materials in their environment to explore, create, and discover. For example, blocks are not just used for building structures but also for counting and imaginative play. Ms. EJae carefully curates the space to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, allowing children to freely express themselves and learn in their own way. She actively participates and interacts with the children, fostering their curiosity and guiding their learning experiences. Through this child-led approach, children develop a love for learning, gain confidence in their abilities, and acquire valuable skills that will benefit them in future endeavors.

About our program
Meet Aunt EJae, a dedicated and passionate childcare provider who is all about creating a sense of community. Gone are the days of simply dropping off and picking up your child; Aunty EJae believes in going above and beyond to establish a strong bond with the families she serves. Enrolled families have the unique opportunity to participate in activities outside of the regular “school” hours, fostering a deeper connection and building lasting memories. Imagine a Saturday fall scavenger hunt in Aunty EJae’s neighborhood, where everyone in the program comes together to create a truly memorable event for the children. But it doesn’t stop there. Aunty EJae wants families to feel like she is not just a caregiver, but a resource and partner. She goes the extra mile to connect families with valuable resources and support, ensuring that their needs are met beyond the confines of her childcare program. For Aunty EJae, being a part of families’ lives is both a privilege and a joy.
This can also be seen in her flexibility by offering 24 hour care, 7 days a week. She is truly committed to offering care that best serves families in the community.
