Our Teachers

Ms. Linda has owned and operated ABC’s & 123’s home daycare since 1994. We expanded from 6 to 12 and now are approved for 14 children. Ms Linda has degrees in Early Childhood Development and Business Administration.

Ms Kathy works part time and primarily works with the infants and young toddlers. She is a former teacher and brings a positive attitude to the class.

Ms Tilsia is a class assistant and has been with the program for ten yrs. She is a mother and grandmother and is well loved by the little in our program.

Ms Gabby is a former student and now is an assistant in the infant toddler group. She brings a positive attitude and pleasant smile.

Philosophy

Open ended play based learning focuses on the process of learning; there is a strong emphasis on communication, social skills, getting along with others by sharing, taking turns, and resolving conflicts with words instead of crying or hitting. It is through play that these skills are learned.

Location

We are located in New Baltimore, Michigan. In Maple Creek subdivision. We are at the end of the street adjacent to wetlands and a nature trail. Our local school district is Anchor Bay, with in the boundary of Ashley Elementary.

About our program

Enrolling your children in a daycare means individualized care is more likely. Care takes place in a home setting. Parents and children become part of an extended family. There are many opportunities for multi-age interaction meaning your child has an opportunity to experience leadership and practice empathy. Additionally siblings can be together rather than in separate classes and playgrounds during the child care day.
