Melany Neuman, Owner
Melany is a Christian, Wife and mother. She has two boys 12 and 10. Serves as much as she can at her church alongside her husband. Melany is currently attending West Shore Community College to earn a degree in Early Childhood. Working with children has always been her passion, and it shows through the smiles and giggles that come from each child in her program.
Philosophy
The early stages of a child’s life are filled with activity and growth. I firmly believe that during this time, children are constantly learning to achieve various developmental milestones. These milestones encompass physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and communication skills. Our objective is to transform every day into a valuable learning experience that aids children in progressing towards their future stages of life. I strongly believe that each child should experience love, safety, and encouragement while striving to meet their developmental goals. Moreover, my unique relationship with each child extends beyond fulfilling these basic needs; it also fosters a sense of security and trust. Children at our daycare are provided with choices, responsibilities, and ample learning opportunities. I firmly believe in striking a balance between structured learning activities and free play. By actively engaging with children in all settings, I ensure that my program is tailored to cater to the unique needs and skill levels of each individual child. In my program I have an open-door policy, all are welcome at any time, we communicate through an app called brightwheel that we upload pictures, food they have eaten, and our newsletters. I try to build a professional yet personal relationship with each family that comes through my door. If I don’t have the answers they need I will find someone that does. In our program we are a team, our goal is to keep your child safe, happy and thriving, this also goes for parents/guardians. I want you to know you matter and can voice your concerns or discomforts. I will respect your cultural background and religious beliefs. I encourage parents/guardians to visit throughout the day and share stories with our program. Communication is key to a successful relationship with your provider. I encourage parents/guardians to share their child’s achievements and observations so I can help plan a program that fits your child’s needs and interests.
Location
Our program is in a quiet neighborhood, with a children’s playground in walking distance. We are close to a private school and our local public school.
