Our Teachers

Sandra, the dedicated childcare center director, is a true advocate for intergenerational connections. With over 15 years of experience as a lead and assistant teacher, she possesses an extensive understanding of early childhood development. As a mother of two, Sandra deeply values the importance of nurturing and fostering growth in young minds. Her passion for caring extends beyond children, as she has also spent over 5 years working in adult foster care and with special needs adults. Her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Spring Arbor further strengthens her ability to create inclusive and supportive environments. Sandra’s lifelong calling to care for others motivated her to establish an intergenerational program, where every generation can learn from one another and experience the joy of genuine connections. With her immense dedication and love for her work, Sandra looks forward to building a special place where children can learn about people that differ from and create lasting memories.

All of our teachers at Bridges are driven by a deep passion and unwavering dedication to offer the utmost quality care for your loved ones.

Philosophy

At BRIDGES, our philosophy is grounded in connection, compassion, and community. We believe:

Every generation has friendship, love, and knowledge to share with the next.

Learning happens constantly and naturally through play and everyday interactions.

Teachers provide the highest quality of care when they feel appreciated and supported.

Relationships between primary teachers, children, and families should be ongoing and meaningful.

Parents are a child’s first and most important teacher—we honor each family’s individual wishes.

People of all abilities deserve opportunities to showcase their God-given talents in a safe, secure space.

Intergenerational interactions build understanding, improve social skills, reduce isolation, and boost self-esteem.

About our program

Welcome to BRIDGES—a high-quality childcare center where hearts connect, generations come together, and every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.

At BRIDGES, we believe that early childhood is a time of wonder, growth, and deep connection. Our name reflects the values that guide everything we do:

B – Belonging | Everyone has a place here.

R – Respect | We celebrate what makes you YOU.

I – Inclusion | All abilities. All backgrounds. All hearts.

D – Discovery | Big wonders start with little moments.

G – Generations | Young + old = everyday magic.

E – Empowerment | Shine bright, lift others.

S – Support | We’ve got each other—always.

We’re more than a childcare center—we’re a community. Through intentional, intergenerational experiences, we foster joy, learning, and belonging for every child, every day.

Come grow with us. ❤️
