Philosophy
In my classroom I will guide children to have positive interactions with their peers and provide them with academic knowledge, independent skills, and social emotional skills to enter an education system successfully.
I believe that children thrive in an environment that is consistent, nurturing, encouraging, organized and clean. We will have fun daily learning through play, using toys, materials, and books based on learning objectives, and developmentally appropriate activities that will enhance your child’s development across all areas. Our daily routine and activities will focus on all areas of child development: Fine motor, gross motor, social-emotional, language and literacy, and cognitive skills. We will use our scientific inquiry skills often while we play outside and explore nature and the properties of different materials. My goal is to plan activities that are curated to each child’s interests, curiosities, and abilities. Play can be messy, and I want to provide a space for the messy fun that will happen as children are learning about the world around them.
