Our Teachers
In college I was a nanny for my cousin while I was taking classes for culinary arts. When she started kindergarten I realized that I truly missed the impact that I was making during that time and I decided to get a job at a daycare. I worked at that center for 7 years and switched my major to early childhood education. I got my certificate in infant and toddler development and went on to spend many years working in the infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. It became my dream to someday open my own home daycare. When my husband and I married and bought our house in Grand Haven, we worked hard to finish our basement into the perfect space for me to make my dream come true.
Philosophy
I am a huge advocate for a play based approach to learning. Incorporating numbers, letters, colors, and more into everyday play is the best way for children to learn in their early childhood years. Art, sensory and outdoor play are amazing ways to stimulate a childs mind and develop their senses.
