Sharnell Johnson, Director

I graduated from Mott Community College in 2025 with an Associate’s in General Studies and I’m currently furthering my education at UofM to receive a Bachelors in Social Work. I’ve been successfully running an in-home childcare program for 13 years providing care for my family children. My favorite thing about what I do is developing relationships with the children and their families. I believe that small class size and the development of a strong community allow myself and my team to really know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years. Making sure they’re successful and self-driven after leaving our care.

Philosophy

Our childcare facility incorporates American sign language and Spanish into a language immersion environment, promoting overall child development. We also focus on creating a safe and nurturing community of young explorers inspired by the STEM philosophy. Children learn by doing, invent by making, and solve problems collaboratively, leading to magical moments when fully engaged with their environment. Our approach is driven by the interests and ideas of the children we serve, fostering innovation and meaningful learning experiences.

Location

We’re in the royal neighborhood of Flint community schools; on a tree lined street in a single-family townhome. With easy access to transit, everything from the Flint Public Library to Berston Field House are just a short walk away. We’re a few blocks away from the Sloan Musem of discovery, and Flint Insitute of Arts. We’re in a peaceful, quiet location if you’re looking to commute a short distance from home- parent’s dream!

At Bountiful Love Childcare in Flint, children thrive in a nurturing atmosphere, fostering growth and self-reliance. Our diverse curriculum includes music, arts, and sports to complement their developmental journey. With a focus on academic preparedness, independence, and a supportive community, we stand out for our innovative approach in enriching young minds. Also, we over a stimulating approach to American sign language using it as much as possible.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.
