Our Teachers
I decided to work with children in 1996. I started working for the board of Education as a substitute teacher. This is when I discovered that I wanted to become a teacher. In 1998, returned to school in pursuit of a teaching degree. In 2006, I received a CDA. In 2009, I received an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with high honors. During the course of my studies, I have encountered many children who were deprived in important areas such as language, emotional stability, social skills, and a healthy attitude toward themselves and others. As a result of this, I decided to get my license to start a group daycare in 2001. I wanted to start a program that assists in giving a child an opportunity and the guidance to reach his or her full potential. Today, I have a child care setting which will allow a child to reach this goal.
Philosophy
“All 4 Kids Learning Place” based the curriculum around the high scope approach. Children grow and develop at different rates; this approach offers them the opportunity to explore each area of development at their own pace while helping them build up their abilities. The learning process is initiated by the children as they make their own choices about what they want to work with and follow through on their plans and decision. The curriculum is carefully planned based on the assessment of children’s skills and interests.
