Our Teachers

Hi, I’m Ms. T., the director of our childcare center. With over 35 years of professional experience, I have worked in various roles such as Customer Service and Administration, including being a supervisor and case manager. My degree in Business Administration and Accounting has provided me with a strong foundation to effectively manage the center. As a mother of two and a Suga Momma (grandmother) of one, I’ve always had a passion for children. From a young age, I eagerly took on the responsibility of babysitting for family and church members. I have always been drawn to the innocence and honesty that children possess. My goal as a director is to provide a solid foundation for the children in our care, giving them a strong head start during this critical time in their lives. I believe in creating a nurturing environment that allows children to grow and develop into confident individuals.

Philosophy

Our onboarding philosophy focuses on creating positive change in the children’s lives by encouraging empathy, kindness, love, and acceptance. Children are treated with gentleness and respect, motivating them to treat others the same way. We build genuine, honest, and engaging relationships with families, communicating and coordinating with them to understand each child’s specific needs and interests. Additionally, our childcare center incorporates a unique environment that combines play-based and STEAM learning philosophies. Through STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math—we integrate hands-on, experiential learning activities. Children in our child-directed classrooms have the freedom to choose how they learn each day, fostering decision-making skills, autonomy, and confidence. They engage with various tools like tablets, building blocks, and art supplies to explore creativity and problem-solving abilities. Alongside this, we provide educational foundation work, including counting with items, conducting small science experiments, and reading stories that make learning fun and engaging.

Location

Our center is highly visible and centrally located in the Old Redford Neighborhood, near major freeways and roadways. Adequate off-street parking is provided for ease and safety of drop off and pick up, with an interior space that is inviting to children.

Our location is more than an address. It portrays our culture because it’s where our families and team meet to enhance the lives of the children we serve.

About our program

Our program inspires curiosity and creativity to build self-esteem while staying mindful of a child’s abilities and interests. We’re developing healthy bodies and minds that will lead to better relationships, better habits, and better learning. We are aware that children believe in magic; they play pretend; and they cross their fingers and make wishes. So, we’ve created a fun and interactive environment where miracles happen, magic is real, and ANYTHING is possible! While it’s important to have a collaborative partnership with families and the community we serve, it’s equally important that we invest the same energy into our team. A team that is made up of adventurers, world travelers, readers, artists, gardeners, Moms, Dads, family people, fun people, happy people.
