Shonlynn Robinson (Director)
Shonlynn graduated with an Associate degree in Early Childhood education. She worked in childcare programs and Head Starts for 7 years. In 2017, Shonlynn decided to open a home daycare with extended hours. Before she started to work in early childhood education, she was a certified nursing assistant (CNA) on afternoon and midnight shift with two children. Therefore, she understands the need for childcare programs with extended hours. Her reward for what she does is watching children advance to the next milestone and solve a problem in the community. Also she believes in building a strong relationship with families and her team that gives them support, respect, and the sense of knowing we are in this together to enhance each child.
Philosophy
Around the Clock Child Care, is a High Scope base curriculum that uses child control play. We allow children to make decisions on what they want to explore, along with appropriate guidance. The guidance is to make sure children gain the full understanding of proper ways to explore certain things and how to communicate with others. We believe all children can learn through play. Our team of experienced teachers creates an environment based on interests and learning levels to keep children engaged and developing to the next level.

We’re conveniently located in the Davison neighborhood with easy access to transit near the Davidson Freeway and Interstate-75. We’re a few blocks away from the Lasky Recreation Center, Abe Park, and the Knapp Detroit Public Library.
