Our Teachers

Amanda Hagen- Owner

I graduated in 2015 with an extended Early Childhood Education Degree. I always wanted to own my own daycare center but once I became a Mother I decided I wanted to go the in home route instead.

I’m a Momma to three wonderful kiddos- a 2 year old daughter- Emma, 5 year old daughter- Amelia (Aka Millie) She’s in school M-Th and 7 year old son- Maverick (Aka Mav) he’s in school full time but will be with us before/after school, school breaks and Summer.

I’m CPR/ First Aid trained, have my Early Childhood Education Degree and extended training beyond degree and 21 years of experience working with young children. I’m nature and play based.

I fully believe children learn more being hands on and from their peers, than they will ever learn from adults and worksheets/Product art.

Testimonials

“Our Riley was so well taken care of by Miss Amanda. From age 4 through kindergarten, she flourished in environment/classroom ran by Miss Amanda. I would recommend this day care because Amanda goes above and beyond in the care of children with love, education, and safety in mind.” Tackett Family

“Amanda was our son Alex’s teacher as a young toddler and she is amazing! She has so much passion and knowledge for teaching littles and we are thankful we had her as a part of our village during those critical years of development. If you are looking for a phenomenal teacher focused on play-based learning, look no further!”

Guenther Family

“We had our son in a regular daycare and after 2 days he was injured at only 4 months old because they weren’t watching him or the kids properly. So obviously we pulled him from there and we were so worried about finding someone new to watch our baby. We found miss Amanda and never ONCE worried like we did at the center he was at previously. She always took such great care of our son and treated him as her own. We got pictures through the day of all the fun activities she would do with him, crafts, sensory play, reading, and playing outside. Our hearts broke when she told us she was moving and wouldn’t be able to watch our son anymore. I am so happy she is able to finally open a official day care like she always dreamed and is able to share her gift of loving children. Miss Amanda watched our son for over 2 years and we would 110% recommend her to watch your littles as well!”

Johnson Family

“Amanda was such a huge part of my daughter’s childhood. Olivia is 11 now and can still remember how great Amanda was with her. She is so sweet, kind, educated, and engaged with children. I recommend her to any of my friends who are looking for not just a daycare, but an education all while having fun and learning to grow.”

Opalinski Family

“Miss Amanda was Hunter’s preschool teacher and is still one of Hunter’s favorite teachers. I couldn’t have been happier seeing how much Hunter grew in her class. Amanda is very sweet and patient with the kids all while keeping the kids on track for learning & developmental lessons, play time, lunch and recess. She is an amazing teacher! Throughout the year, Amanda kept us up to date with upcoming events, weekly themes, craft ideas and how Hunter was developing as well. She would stay in contact with us as well by text, sending pictures of the funny thing Hunter did that day (future class clown) and some of his fun times while on class trips and if there was anything we needed to bring for the following day. Hunter learned so much with Amanda and with her guidance, I have my well mannered little man who is a fun loving, caring, nurturing, intelligent and silly boy. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Kennedy Family

“We absolutely adore Mrs. Amanda! Amanda used to be my son’s 3’s preschool teacher. She was always so kind, caring, and attentive. Alex had separation anxiety in the mornings at drop off and Amanda was so good about helping calm him down and creating a morning routine that helped (not just Alex but all of the kids) transition into their day. Her classroom activities were thoughtful, fun, and educational. If you have the privilege of attending Manda’s Minis Play Care you will surely be impressed!”

Martin Family

“Amanda is absolutely phenomenal! As new parents, in a city where we only knew a handful of people, she immediately put us at ease. She is such a caring mom who truly treats her daycare kiddos as her own. Our little girl was so loved and I never had to worry about her when she was in Amanda’s care. She is very hands on but also encourages the kids to explore and learn from each other. She lets them be kids but guides them to make safe choices. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a fun and safe environment for their littles!”
