Our Teachers

A little background about myself, I am a mother of 3 grown children, grandmother to 6 beautiful grandchildren and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews whom I cared for during many years of their lives. I firmly believe the Lord gave us all a passion, skills and talents for something in each of our lives and my passion has always been for children. Everyone has always referred to me as the kid magnet, since I was young. I had a daycare before our first daughter was born. When she came into the world, I endeavored be the best mom I could be to her and decided to have a daycare later in life, (Now here I am fulfilling that dream once again!) and focus solely on her. We grew our family, and I spent the next several years as a stay-at-home mom. I did take on the joys of babysitting my nieces and nephews when I was needed, that became almost a live in situation for all of them as they never wanted to leave!! I homeschooled our 3 children during their elementary and middle school years. I believe children need one-on-one attention and work at their own pace without moving forward if they are not ready so they can continue to be confident and successful each day. When our children were a little older, I furthered my education in Business Administration at Kaplan University, however that was becoming expensive, and I just didn’t feel I was being a help to anyone, so I decided to go into health care. I love to work with people and help them anyway I can. I worked in home health care as well as in a couple facilities. Children are such a joy, to watch them learn, grow and explore is a blessing that not many things in life can fulfill. Being a small part of a child’s life, helping them learn new things and care for them while away from their working families is my honor and a blessing and I am here to be a blessing to others. Its my duty to keep them safe, make sure they are cared for and taught in a loving environment. I look forward to working with new families, meeting the needs of their little angels by a blessing to them all in a home away from home atmosphere.

Philosophy

We are not just a daycare where children play. We have age appropriate, curriculum to learn and grow their little minds each day. We use Abeka curriculum that is faith based as well as several other educational based curriculums. Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making things and solve problems by working together. There is a set schedule each day as to when we have music time, reading time, meal and snack time, quiet time/nap time, education and one-on-one learning time. We plant seeds in the spring and garden in the summer. Outside activities are age appropriate, from taking in the summer air to sledding in the snow on mild days. We explore nature, find bugs, have ant farms and play with goats! We love to learn and have fun! I believe when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Also, Children earn points and get to spend them in our little store and even buy gifts for their family for Christmas! We have lots of fun everyday while learning.
