Our Teachers

Ebony Jackson, Lead-Teacher

Ebony, graduated from Strayer University in 2020 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. In 2022, she realized her dream of having a family legacy with family childcare and co-own and operating a family business. Ebony is currently studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Early Education Pre-K5. Her favorite part about being a teacher is developing relationships with the children and their families while creating a learning foundation. She believes in the foundations of learning and development of a strong community to allow her to create a strong team to provide a solid and supportive start for families to grow. She is a wonderful A2SCS lead teacher.

Philosophy

A2SCS, LLC provides a loving, supportive, and educational environment for preschool children and their families. Our goal in childcare has always been to foster the whole child; emotional, physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs. Nurturing these precious needs is met in a stimulating and safe environment conducive to learning.

About our program

Our Curriculum: Anointed 2 Serve Childcare Services, LLC has selected the Teaching Strategies – The Creative Curriculum to assist with meeting the educational needs of children from ages 0 – 6 years of age. The selected program is a State recognized program to support early childhood literacy. This curriculum is developed to include stories, math, science, free play, shared and conversation time, creative art activities arts/crafts, food preparation, and science and nature activities. Each child is exposed to age-appropriate activities to learn phonological awareness/reading readiness, letters, colors, numbers, and social interaction. To accompany the educational activities, I provide a variety of learning areas which include art, music, housekeeping, science/nature, math/manipulative, and reading. The children have access to various learning tools such as a computer, puzzles, outdoor nature trails, age-appropriate games, playgrounds, books, etc. As well as weekly visits to the local library to become acclimated to being in other learning environments other than daycare. As well as Healthy Beginnings, a web-based program to assist with planning fun activities for infants through toddlers. This application can be used by Child Care Providers and Parents at any time to plan activities to promote a healthy beginning for our children. This program is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education. Implementing early literacy to children of various ages at the same time requires that lesson plans reflect an average of the children’s learning ability. For my toddlers and preschoolers, we prepare activities to keep each one engaged and eager to learn more. Each child is provided adequate supplies, and interacts with each other, using executive brain functions, all while developing appropriately. Over the years, our toddlers have caught up to the preschoolers in my program, which is a sure sign that early literacy achievements are occurring in our home. We will continue to seek, design, and institute additional developmental practices as my knowledge increases during my journey in childcare.
