At Hood's Magic daycare children learn best through play. I focus on social and emotional growth, helping little ones name their feelings, learn problem solving, build social skills, and feel safe being themselves. It is a place where little minds grow.

Our Teachers

I have 11+ years of experience working in childcare centers. I became a lead teacher at Columbia Academy for 6 months before COVID hit. I was responsible for a classroom of 12 2-year olds. I had a co-teacher, and we both developed age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children. I was recognized by my director for thinking outside of the box and keeping learning fun and engaging. I have studied child development in depth, and I have a wonderful 5-year-old son. I have a Master’s in Health Psychology and a bachelor’s in Biopsychology, where I took child development courses. I also hold certifications and have completed classes from my time working in the childcare centers. I am licensed in Maryland, license number: 263381, with all required training and background checks. I am the sole caregiver at Hood’s Magic Daycare, so your child is always under my supervision. My mother-in-law is also an MSDE-licensed substitute who has gone through background checks. She is only present when I need to step out briefly, so there’s a trusted adult with the children.
