Hello from Mrs. Avonda

Teaching is a rewarding experience.  I teach so I can learn about the world and all of those infinite possibilities that brand new minds bring to me each and every day.  I have over 16 years of teaching experience, having taught children birth to five since I was 19.  I am also the recipient of 2018 PBS Early Learning Champion Award. When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, traveling and reading.

Philosophy

We believe play is one of the major vehicles through which children integrate knowledge, feelings, and skills. Therefore, play is a fundamental part of our approach, incorporating developmentally appropriate activities. Your child will engage in classroom activities that encourage dramatic play, creativity, construction, manipulation, experimentation, and physical activity. They will have access to tools and materials that challenge thinking and stimulate curiosity, fostering a holistic learning experience.

Location

We are located a few minutes from route 50 and also about a 5 minute ride from the bypass.Our school district is chipmunk elementary school And Glen Avenue elementary school

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/laugh-n-learn-center-llc-10440/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
