Our Teachers
Hi! I’m Mrs. Anny, The founder of Casa MAKV Montessori in-home-preschool. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. Coming from an IT background gave me lots of strengths, but I found my true calling as a mother and embraced my role of teaching my daughters. I have been working with young children for over 10 years. After pursuing a BA in Early Childhood Education and becoming a Certified Montessori teacher, the last 10 years I have been dedicated to teaching the families in my community. I love being a stay at home mom and wanted to be with my daughters to teach them both English and Spanish, which is my native language. Creating Casa MAKV Montessori is a prayer answered to not just teach them but now, I get to teach YOUR child! I can’t wait!
I always love and enjoy teaching young children at the different facilities that I work and serv for. Now, I proudly run my own classroom at my home located at Germantown, MD. Casa Makv Montessori In-home Preschool was born from the necessity of our community to have a place that provides a kind, loving and nurturing environment for preschoolers and their families. As a mother and educator, my priority is to help each individual that comes to my preschool develop to his/her full potential. Our goal is to build a strong partnership with parents. It is important that the staff at Casa Makv Montessori are current with their continuing education. I am constantly updating my education to better serve the children. I meet and exceed the requirements set by the Maryland State Department of Education. Currrently, my program is credentialed and rated in high standrds level in Maryland Excels.
Teacher Assistant:
Ms. Denisse Hernandez is a great support for Casa Makv Montessori. She is energenic, authentic, reliable, and the best part, she absolutely love little ones. She is thrilled to join our family of preschoolers. Ms. Denisse, like me, was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She has been living in the USA for more than 20 years. She is very passionate about her work around children. During the past 10 years, she has been working with children in different preschool and daycare facilities. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband and taking care of her mother. Other than working with young children, she loves cooking. In fact, she works as a baker. I can already imagine how well our cooking projects will go with her help:).
Substitute teacher:
Also, joining us as a substitute provider is Mrs. Sofia. Sofia Silva has been a daycare provider herself for more than 20 years. She is a very energetic and caring person. She has been a great mentor for me since I embarked in this journey. As a substitute, Mrs. Sofia will take my rol in case of any absent due to emergencies.
