Our Teachers

Angela Soo Hoo, Director and Teacher

Angela fell in love with teaching preschool while working at a child care center during college. When she became a mom, the preschool years were her favorite time to teach her own children. She has experience with kids with behavioral special needs and implements effective strategies to connect with and help each child become confident and successful.

Philosophy

At Maple Tree Early Learning, we believe in offering a fun and engaging preschool curriculum through developmentally appropriate classes. Our philosophy emphasizes that learning should be hands-on explorations during the preschool years, as these experiences teach children essential skills for kindergarten readiness. We strongly believe that the most impactful lessons for children result from fun and playful activities.

About our program

Maple Tree Early Learning is now offering a summer program for 2023. Join us this summer to continue learning and have fun with stories, games, and wet & messy summer play.

Maple Tree Early Learning is a licensed daycare home offering a three-hour preschool program four days a week. Our program is specially designed for kids that might have trouble sitting still or otherwise fitting into a more traditional preschool classroom. The home atmosphere is also welcoming for kids that may not feel ready to be in a bigger classroom. The small class size allows for personalized lessons, promotes deeper interaction with the teacher, and encourages closer relationships with peers. Maple Tree Early Learning has limited spots available for care before and after the preschool class, for a total of five hours each day.

Maple Tree Early Learning provides many opportunities for fun interactive experiences that all children will enjoy. Our classroom emphasizes sensory experiences and learning through play while incorporating a robust preschool curriculum. Children are offered opportunities to learn through engaging activities, intentional child-led play, and group activities.

Topics taught include important pre-reading skills, enjoying rich literature, mathematical concepts, science exploration, and social-emotional awareness. The joy of learning is also ignited with regular themes, including seasonal topics as well as other subjects enjoyed by preschoolers.
