Our Teachers
Staff at the SCSD2 Early Learning Academy have all completed the required screenings through Family and Social Services Administration. This includes national fingerprinting, drug test, TB test, first aid/cpr and annual professional development training hours. Our lead teachers in the classroom have early childhood education certificates or degrees along with years of experience.
All staff at SCSD2 ELA are passionate about children and education.
Philosophy
Our program uses FrogStreet curriculum in the 2’s and 3’s classroom and Learning Without Tears in the 4’s classroom. Our children engage in structured and free play throughout the day.
About our program
Here at SCSD2 Early Learning Academy we have a whole child approach to learning to ensure every child has the support to develop in all developmental areas such as motor, communication, cognitive, adaptive and social. Our staff provide a nurturing environment where relationship building is a main focus. Our facility works hard to engage parents through various activities and support groups such as PTO and All Pro Dads, as well as daily communication through the Brightwheel App.
