Alisha Bennett, Director
Alisha graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education and Intercultural Studies. Over the last 12 years, she taught multiple grades before finding her love of third grade and staying there for 8 years. She is excited to begin a new adventure in preschool. Alisha believes in creating a loving, nurturing environment where all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Ben Mays, Teacher
Ben is currently finishing his degree in Early Childhood Education. He worked as a teacher’s aide for the last two years. He is excited about this new adventure.
Philosophy
At Surety Christian Academy students are provided the opportunity to learn with other children in a safe, loving, Christian environment with an atmosphere of acceptance and warmth. We are also committed to supporting parents in the difficult but rewarding task of raising children through the teaching staff, the church, and parent events that will be held throughout the year. SCA is dedicated to the classical model of education. Classical education focuses on a rigorous and content-rich core in which academic marks are given for mastery, not effort, in every subject. It is a “back to the basics” education. All core subjects are taught with the goal of building a foundation of knowledge.

Our mission at SCA is to develop the academic potential of each student while building in them a virtuous character. Our days are a balance of student led exploration and teacher led academics. Our curriculum is rooted in God’s Word; we start each day with prayer and a Bible story.
