Our Teachers

Hello, I’m Jasmine the lead teacher here at Nature’s Nest! I have a background in art and education. Back in Seattle I was a paraprofessional and substitute teacher for 7 years. I recieved my BA in Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts and owned an all organic farm. I decided to combine my love for nature with my passion for teaching children and created Nature’s Nest Daycare. Here we can do daycare differently, spending more time outside exploring than the average daycare center.

Philosophy

Our program is all about connecting children to their environment. Through hands on activities, children learn about the cycle of life, and valuable teamwork skills. The curriculum follows the rythymn of the 4 seasons. We have a structured schedule and touch on various subjects throughout the day like geography and culture, science, math, art and literacy skills.

Nature’s Nest Daycare is located in Lafayette very close to downtown. We are a 6 minute drive from Purdue and are convenient for both west lafayette and lafayette residents. Nature’s Nest is a 10 minute drive from the happy hollow and west lafayette elementary school area.
