Philosophy
Promiseland Preschool/Pre-K’s curriculum is a blend of child initiated activities. The activities are aligned with the Indiana Foundations and Creative Curriculum, along with a supplemental faith-based curriculum. We also utilize the curriculum of Handwriting Without Tears. Our curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom environments are also aligned to meet the standards of the Paths to Quality (PTQ- Level 4) and the National Association of Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our classrooms are arranged into learning centers encouraging different types of play and active exploration of the environment. Through the year, we use a variety of activities to encourage and enhance core educational skills: Fine and gross motor skills Letter and sound recognition Recognition of numbers, shapes, and colors Literacy skills Social skills
