Our Teachers

Hi there! My name is Tracy Townsend and I have been working in the childcare industry since 2011. Before that, I worked as a Girl Scout mom, which gave me a taste of working with children and fostering their growth and development. However, it wasn’t until I started working in childcare that I truly discovered my passion for education and helping young children reach their full potential.

One of the things I enjoy most about working with students and families is seeing the impact of a positive educational environment. It’s truly amazing to see how much children can learn and grow when they are in a nurturing and supportive environment. As a childcare provider, I strive to create an environment that is both engaging and challenging, where children can learn and explore at their own pace.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is helping children prepare for kindergarten. Early childhood education is so important, and it sets the foundation for a child’s future academic and personal success. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the growth and progress that children make over the course of a year, and to know that I played a small part in helping them get there.

Another aspect of my job that I love is coaching new parents in how to best help their young ones grow and develop. Parenting is hard work, and it can be overwhelming at times. I feel privileged to be able to share my knowledge and experience with parents, and to help them navigate the challenges that come with raising young children.

All in all, working in childcare has been an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding experience for me. I feel fortunate to have found a career that allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families every day.

Philosophy

As a Montessori-inspired family child care provider, my philosophy is centered around creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn. I believe that children learn best through hands-on exploration and discovery, and I strive to provide opportunities for them to do so.

In my child care setting, I prioritize creating a peaceful and respectful atmosphere that promotes independence, self-confidence, and a sense of community. I encourage children to make choices and take ownership of their learning, while also providing guidance and support as needed.

I believe in respecting each child’s unique pace of development and interests, and strive to create an environment that fosters their natural creativity and curiosity. I value open communication with parents, and believe that a strong partnership between home and child care is key to supporting children’s growth and development.

About our program

What sets our program apart is our commitment to creating a sense of family for our students. We treat each child as if they were a member of our own family, and we work hard to build strong relationships with both the children and their parents. We believe that this approach helps to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive.

Another unique aspect of our program is our focus on education. We believe that every child deserves a strong foundation for their future, and we work hard to ensure that each child is prepared for kindergarten. We understand that some children may have more challenging behaviors than others, and we are dedicated to helping parents navigate those challenges while also providing a strong educational experience for the child.

Most of the families in our program come to us through word of mouth. We are proud to have built a strong reputation in our community for providing high-quality, loving care for the children in our program. We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life, and we are honored to be a part of that journey for the families we serve.

In summary, our family child care program is all about creating a warm, loving, and family-oriented environment for our students. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality education and helping parents navigate any challenges that may arise. If you are looking for a program that will treat your child like a member of the family, we would be honored to welcome you into our community.
