Our Teachers

My name is Roxie Sullivan, and I am the director of Little Duckling Daycare 2. Child care has been my passion for the past four years, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work in an environment that brings me so much joy. Growing up in a childcare setting myself, I have been surrounded by children my entire life, and it has shaped my love for nurturing and supporting their growth.

What I find most rewarding about working in child care is witnessing the development and growth of each student that comes through our doors. It is truly amazing to see how they evolve both intellectually and emotionally over time. From their first steps to their first words, every milestone is celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement.

At Little Duckling Daycare 2, our main goal is to make every single student feel special and loved. We understand that each child is unique and has their own individual strengths and needs. By creating a warm and inclusive environment, we strive to foster a sense of belonging for every child in our care.

Every day at our daycare is filled with meaningful interactions and opportunities for learning and exploration. We provide a range of stimulating activities that promote cognitive, physical, and social development. Whether it’s engaging in imaginative play, participating in art projects, or exploring the outdoors, we aim to provide a well-rounded experience that supports each child’s holistic development.

In addition to the academic and social aspects, we also place great emphasis on instilling important values and teaching essential life skills. We believe that kindness, empathy, and respect are fundamental qualities that contribute to a child’s overall well-being. By modeling these behaviors ourselves and encouraging positive interactions among the students, we aim to create a nurturing and supportive community within our daycare.

Philosophy

As a childcare provider, my philosophy centers around the importance of a play-based approach to learning and development. I believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in hands-on experiences and encouraged to explore their natural curiosity. By creating a nurturing and stimulating environment, I strive to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and social interactions among the children in my care. Through play, children develop essential cognitive, emotional, and physical skills, building a solid foundation for lifelong learning. I aim to support their individual interests and abilities, guiding them in their unique journey of discovery and growth. By embracing the power of play, I aspire to create a joyful and empowering experience for every child in my care.
