Our Teachers

We have a staff of 55 educators including licensed special education teachers, occupational, physical, and speech therapists along with classroom teachers and behavioral specialists. Our staff has a wealth of knowledge about teaching early childhood, including specialized training on assessments, curriculum, and meeting all students social and emotional needs.

Philosophy

The ELC is a play-based program. We use data to help influence our instruction as we give ISPROUT, Indiana’s early childhood assessment tool, to all students which allows us to capture a student’s growth and development throughout the year. We also believe in creating a school family through the use of Conscious Discipline.

Location

The ELC is a brand new building, having opened in January of 2024. We are located east of North Central High School’s main campus, connected to the administrative offices for the MSD of Washington Township. Our building is specifically designed for children, ages 3 - 5, complete with age appropriate restrooms, playgrounds, and classroom set up.

About our program

At the Early Learning Center in Indianapolis, we focus on nurturing young minds through fun and engaging activities. Our inclusive environment allows every child to thrive. With a strong emphasis on preparing children for school, enhancing cognitive and motor skills, and fostering social and emotional growth, we specialize in creating a strong foundation for young learners.
