Melissa Garcia- Director Melissa has her Masters in Early Education. She has worked at Christie’s Love Bugs off and on since 2018. She accepted the position as PreK Director back in January 2024. Now she is the Director of all 3 sites.

I like the way Christie’s Lovebugs takes the children out into the community and when you walk into the daycare you get to see all the fun pictures from their field trip adventures. This has allowed my child to enjoy his experience and make lots of memories with his daycare pals. Christie and her staff genuinely care about the kids well being and take great care of them with diverse activities while providing a great learning environment.

My favorite thing about Christie’s are that they listen to what I have to say and make adjustments. Further, the leaders and the caretakers sincerely care about my children. Just speaking with them, I know they really take the time to get to know my kids and that’s huge for me.

Philosophy
Our curriculum is designed to promote learning in all areas of development. Our lesson plans include developmentally appropriate activities for children and are related to the Indiana Foundations Academic Standards for Children Birth to Age Five.
The children’s individual needs and goals are documented through observations and developmental assessments. Teachers will use observations and assessments to help determine how to help the children reach their full potential. We believe in intentional teaching and learning through play.
Our curriculum goal is to ensure we are meeting all learning needs of the children and to prepare them to enter school ready to learn.
