Our Teachers

As a teacher with 6+ years of experience in the childcare field, I can confidently say that I love what I do. Working with children has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

I take pride in being a well-educated and trained professional in the field of childcare. I have pursued various certifications and continuing education courses to further enhance my knowledge and skills in working with children. My proficiency with children allows me to create a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow.

Throughout my years of experience, I have worked with children from different backgrounds and with varying needs. Each child is unique, and I strive to create a personalized approach to meet their individual needs. Whether it’s helping them with their homework or teaching them life skills, I am dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential.

Working in childcare can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Seeing a child’s face light up when they learn something new or watching them develop into confident and capable individuals is truly inspiring. I feel privileged to be a part of their journey and to have the opportunity to shape their futures.

Testimonials

Hamim N. 4 四1 7/31/25 … We enrolled our daughter in this daycare when she was just 9 months old, and from day one, we felt she was in safe, loving hands with Miss Lisa. Now that she has just turned 2, we’re amazed at how much she has learned in just 15 months. She knows so much for her age, and we constantly get compliments from other parents who are surprised by how advanced she is. What speaks volumes is how excited she gets every morning when we drop her off. It’s clear she’s happy and well cared for. Miss Lisa treats our daughter like her own, and that level of care means everything to US. We also really appreciate how she keeps us in the loop throughout the day using the Brightwheel app. It gives us peace of mind to see what our little one is up to and how she’s doing. All of this comes at an affordable price, which we’re incredibly thankful for, especially as a family trying to make ends meet without compromising on quality child care.

Cara R. 0 1四0 **‹ 7/20/25 • Ms. Shalisa with Exploring Little Minds is absolutely amazing! She was the only person we were comfortable leaving our baby with when I went back to work after maternity leave. She helped us establish a routine for our baby girl, helped us figure out how to get her to sleep without being held, and really taught our daughter how to be comfortable around people other than just my husband and I. You can truly tell she loves what she does and loves all the kiddos that come into her home.

Dori S. 1 1/13/25 My children have been going to Exploring Little Minds for the past 4 months and my husband and I are beyond grateful for the care and service provided to our daughter and son daily. Our daughter who is 2 (almost 3) years old has thrive in the one on one environment provided at Exploring Little Minds. Miss Lisa has help her develop her own voice and learn in her own way. We also appreciate that we have the support to help with potty training which had been a huge struggle for us in the past but since going to Exploring Little Minds our daughter is almost fully potty trained. Our son who is 1 years old is beyond where he needs to be with development because of the learning support that is provided to him. Our children love going to Exploring Little Minds I am beyond blessed I can drop my kids off and know they are being taken care of as if they are family. Exploring Little Minds and Miss Lisa help provide a peace in mind as working parents.

Philosophy

As a family child care provider with a Montessori-inspired philosophy, I believe in creating a nurturing and child-centered environment where every child is respected, valued, and encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace.

At our family child care, we follow the Montessori principles of freedom, respect, and responsibility. We provide an environment that allows children to make choices and decisions, take ownership of their learning, and develop self-discipline and independence. We encourage children to learn through exploration and discovery, using hands-on materials that are designed to promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.

In our Montessori-inspired family child care, we believe that every child is unique and has their own strengths, interests, and needs. We strive to create a personalized learning experience for each child, by observing and assessing their development and adjusting our approach to meet their individual needs. We also recognize the importance of building positive relationships with families, and work collaboratively with parents to support the child’s growth and development.

Overall, our Montessori-inspired family child care philosophy is grounded in the belief that every child has the potential to reach their full potential, and that it is our responsibility as caregivers and educators to create an environment that fosters their growth, development, and love for learning.
