We take pride in our Holistic teaching, bible stories, children choir, summer sports and camp for survival where children learn to fish and become fishermen.
My name is Martha Calhoun-Riley, Director I graduated from Governors State University in Illinois with an Interdisciplinary Studied degree and a Psychology degree. In 1998 I answered my call to the Ministry which years later it landed me an Honorary Doctorate degree in Bibical Teachings and Pastoral Psychological Couseling. My belief is that every child will learn naturally and creatively As a teacher for the Gary School system I quickly realized that our children was in trouble. This bring me to this point parents will do better, their children must read and learn to communicate effectively alone with parental involvement and hands on.
Reality check! It takes a village. Here we are. Let’s Go! For our children making their future the brightest of all .

Since year 2000 The Mustard Seed programs for adults has produced one Medical doctor Dr. Clarence. RN Naomi, two Teachers, five CNA’S and two Social Workers one of them have his PHD From Roosevelt University in Chicago. Planting a Seed and changing lives are essential for generation to come. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.
