Testimonials
“For nearly a year now, my children have been attending Gateway, and I must say, every moment has been an absolute joy. The exceptional care and dedication of the staff have left a lasting impression on us. Each person I’ve encountered at Gateway has been nothing short of amazing, consistently going above and beyond to ensure a remarkable experience for our family. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!” Chelsey P.
“Gateway has loved my children so incredibly well during the last 3.5 years. The admin staff is kind, caring, and personable. The teachers are communicative and put so much effort into getting to know each child individually. When there are disagreements or one of our boys has been acting out, the teachers and admin are involved with the parents in how to solve the behavior in the most appropriate way for that child.” Leah D.
“I love that she is cared for by a licensed, Level 4 Paths to Quality Provider.” Holly L.
“My kid has higher behaviors and Gateway will work with you as long as you are willing to work with them. Amazing care and amazing relationships are formed.” Felicia M.
“Gateway is amazing. They treat both my girls with love and care. I am so grateful to have a safe and trustworthy daycare, so I can work for my family. I even have a daughter with verbal Apraxia and does not speak. Her two teachers nurture this and have the patience that I sometimes lack. I think of Gateway as a support system.” Sharon H.
Philosophy
The Gateway philosophy is that all children have special needs, and an inclusive approach to early childhood education is the best way for children to develop appropriate skills while learning and growing together. We believe that children learn best in a play-based environment. Our teachers guide children through hands-on learning experiences, building on the interest and development of each child. The day is structured to include opportunities for free choice, active outdoor play, quiet play, rest periods, and meals. Each day children can choose to play at a variety of learning centers, including writing, art, blocks, discovery, music and movement, and dramatic play. Through our curriculum, we foster a child’s growth in cognitive, social/emotional, physical, and language development. We believe the best way to assess children’s learning is through observing them at play. As children interact with materials and peers in the learning environment, they naturally reveal to their teachers what they know. We believe that children’s primary caregivers are their first teachers. Because of this, we encourage families to participate in their child’s education in a variety of ways. We have an open-door policy, which allows families to visit and interact with their child at any time. We conduct parent/guardian/teacher conferences, which keeps communication open and allows parents/guardians and teachers to set goals for the future. We invite families to participate in monthly events, such as our Thanksgiving Feast, Winter Program, and Graduation. We continually work to build and maintain relationships that will support learning and help children reach their highest potential.

About our program
As we look to the future, we begin to see the importance associated with the care and education that children receive starting at birth. Gateway believes that each child is uniquely different and an inclusive, wraparound approach to early care and education is the best way for them to develop appropriate skills while learning and growing together. We are committed to meeting children, with and without special needs, at their current stage of development and prepare them, using a developmentally appropriate environment, while creating learning experiences designed to help children reach their next developmental milestone.
