Our Teachers
Hello, welcome to our program! My name is Stephanie, the founder and director of Aunt Stephanie’s Child Care / Preschool LLC. I have many teaching certifications. I have been caring for young children for over 40 years by starting my own childcare in-home so that other parents could work and I could take care of their children as they would. In the 1.5 years, we graduated into our bigger facility but still have the in-home spirit. I am a parent of 3 children, ages 37 year old daughter, 36 year old son , 33 year old daughter. I am passionate about early education and truly love having an impact on the earliest stage of children’s academic lives. I am excited to meet you and provide your children with the highest quality care and education.
Philosophy
At Aunt Stephanie’s Child Care / Preschool LLC we follow the play-based curriculum philosophy, which is a non-academic approach to developing skills designed to provide a firm foundation for later academic success. We help your child develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem while living the daily and weekly rhythms that are woven into the cycle of the year. On any given day, we may enjoy art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions to experience the world around us. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through unstructured play, which fosters lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity.
Location
Aunt Stephanie’s Child Care / Preschool LLC is located in a single facility building. We are accessible through 3rd Street right across from Safeway via car.
Our school has been thoughtful designed to provide a safe and fun learning environment for your children. We have plenty of space for children to engage in learning and exploring, arts and crafts, as well as rest time, and provide supervised outdoor play time in a huge fenced yard. We would love for you to come see our beautiful space for yourself! Please reach out and schedule a tour. We look forward to welcoming you and your child!
About our program
We decided that we were going to create a “home away from home” atmosphere due to our background as an in-home converted to a center based facility. We strive to make our space homey where parents are more than welcome to join us during activities. Parents are more than welcome to join us for the first days (or however long they feel comfortable) until their child is able to adapt to being away from home.
We celebrate birthdays for our students. We also teach ABCs and make sure each child can count to 50 before they graduate. At minimum the children will learn their names, address, phone numbers etc.
We also help with potty training if required.
We not only accept ICCP but we are affiliated with United Way, who helps with child care costs based on income. Please ask us questions if you would like more info.
There is a $100 enrollment to enroll.
