Our Teachers

Our director has been working with kids for over 25 years. As a mom, she knows it’s important to find safe, reliable child care. She cares for the the kids in her program, the way she cares for her own children, with lots of love, kindness and compassion.

Philosophy

As a family childcare, our goal is to provide a safe and happy place for children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace. We believe children learn through playing with others and benefit from a stable yet flexible schedule. Activities will be offered which stimulate sensory motor development, language development and social interaction.

The development of strong self-esteem is also a major goal. It is important that children feel they are a welcome part of, not only their own family unit, but also of their "extended families; (Ex. friends, school, childcare, church, etc.) Today, a child’s family may take on many forms, all of which are of equal importance to the child. We believe that family childcare is an especially important extension of you and your child’s family. As your child becomes involved in the daily routines, they will see the connections between home and family child care in a friendly and supporting way. A flexible daily program will respond to the needs and interests of the children, individually and in a group setting.

Children will learn to respect themselves, each other, adults, and property. We believe a child’s early experiences enrich and stimulate future growth. We do not believe in pushing any child to learn at an accelerated rate and will not make a child feel pressured to achieve developmental milestones. We believe children should be allowed to grow and blossom at their own pace. We also feel children deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in an environment that welcomes reason, exploration, question and imagination. We respect each child’s need for love, security, acceptance, warmth and stimulation.
