Philosophy
At our childcare facility, kids will engage in purposeful play to enhance their learning and kindergarten readiness. Moreover, we implement a play-based curriculum philosophy that focuses on non-academic approaches to skill development, fostering feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem. Our daily and weekly rhythms reflect the cycle of the year, incorporating activities such as art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through unstructured yet purposeful play, nurturing lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity.
Location
Mandy’s Munchkins is located in a single-family home. We are accessible from State Street, between Veterans Park and Collister, via car with a city bus stop two blocks away. There is a nearby stop light for easy access back onto State Street.
About our program
Mandy’s Munchkins is a new program but with years of experience. Ms. Mandy is a licensed public school education teacher in the State of Idaho, which means that your child would receive more than just care but developmentally appropriate education.
Ms. Mandy enjoys letting the children be involved with breakfast and snack prep and family-style dining. Ms. Mandy will have Music lessons 3 times a week. Once the children have settled in, field trip opportunities will be looked into.
